Before you even start moving, you’re probably faced with the question of, “what am I going to do with all of this furniture?” Moving heavy and awkward furniture is certainly risky, difficult, and requires a lot of time and effort. The professional movers at All My Sons Moving & Storage in Fort Lauderdale want you to know how to pack your furniture so efficiently that they will stay intact and in great condition throughout the entire moving process.
To properly pack your furniture, you need the correct packing products. Correct packing products will include: corrugated cardboard, bubble wrap, packing tape, furniture pads and plastic wrap. You will need plenty of packing products, so it’s important to invest in a sufficient number of packing supplies to ensure that your furniture is safe during transit.
The bubble wrap will be used first to protect the delicate parts of your furniture. Once the furniture is completely wrapped in bubble wrap, you will wrap the entire piece in a furniture pad. The packing tape is used to secure the bubble wrap and furniture pad to the piece of furniture. When you are doing this, be sure not to tape directly onto painted or polished surfaces. Next, you will use the plastic wrap to keep the padding in place. The furniture pad will stay perfectly and tightly wrapped around your furniture once it is wrapped in plastic wrap. The large pieces of corrugated cardboard will be used to protect the corners of your furniture pieces. You can use tape to secure them in place.
